San Cristobal and surrounding areas

We travel to multiple reserves within San Cristobal starting at a private property exclusive to Sabes Aves in some of the best preserved pine-oak cloud forest in the region where we may see some of Mexico's most sought after birds including the Pink-headed Warbler, Black-throated Jay, and Wine-throated Hummingbird.

We'll search for the Belted Flycatcher, Gray Silky-flycatcher, Cabanis's Wren, Blue-and-white Mockingbird, and White-throated Swift at a lower altitude at a transition zone with the Chiapas Central Depression.

We complete our tour on a private property in Chijilté, with the chance to see the Rose-throated Becard, Green Jay, Orange-billed Nightingale Thrush, White-winged Tanager, and with luck a Whiskered Screech Owl and other nocturnal birds as night falls.
